Silver and Merit Awards from 3×3 Magazine!

Wow.  I just found out that I received the Silver Award from NYC-based 3×3, The Magazine of Contemporary Illustration for my piece that was used for the cover of the Jonathan Franzen book.  Another one of my illustrations (from the Teknion project) received a Merit Award as well!

3×3  hosts a highly regarded international annual illustration competition that features some of the best work from all over the world.  Jurors this year were Marieke Griffioen, design director at the Amsterdam office of Edenspiekermann, a design agency with offices also in Berlin and San Francisco, Paul Gonzales, Deputy Design Director at the L.A. Times, and U.K. illustrator Mark Smith, among others. Winners are featured in an annual publication that is distributed to 41 countries.  According to 3×3 –   “The …. ProShow is the only truly international competition for illustration. No other show is as completely international as ours.”
